The daughter (Dana) was victim to physical and mental abuse by her mother while in a custody battle with Dana’s father. She was witness to her mother’s suicide attempt, brothers abuse, and her mother’s sexual activities. Although there were many struggles in Dana’s life she is able to look at each situation and learn the importance of forgiveness.
Forgiving the Unforgettable delivers a story of the complex relationships that develop during childhood trauma. Every person in Dana’s life helped shaped her ideas of adulthood and healthy relationships.
